my life recently in peektures! (: because im still lazy to type!
meet up meet up meet up!
the quaint place we stayed at in bkk! i quite liked it.
which reminds me, when we were in bkk, we at at this restaurant with super steep steps and just as sui and i were talking about how dangerous it was, i slipped and fell and uhhhh screamed. hahahaha i was hugely embarrassing to say the least and i had a sore back the next few days luh.
oh on another note, my fav havaianas broke the other day. i was in shock by the way. i thoguht they were super durable slippers luh. disappointed.
the ambiguous poster in bkk. we were trying to figure out if the kid on the right was a girl or boy.
my sister and i at fathers' day dinner waiting for my parents to finish eating. hahaha pardon my unglam ways of sitting.
anyway there are many many photos but since lj's so slow im too lazy to upload them all i think they're on facebook already though! (:
the cute kids in my class at camp. you know sometimes they catch on to the point so quickly i wonder if they are really primary 3 at all.
in the girls' dorm. hahaha ive videos of them singing along to love story by taylor swift and it's super duper funny!
my awesome watch from bkk which for some reason always attracts the strangest comments. anyway the kids were playing with it so much at camp that the strap is a bit spoiled. -insert sad face-
and in case you were wondering, IT DOES WORK!
which reminds me i watched own time own target ytd and it's super funny! though a bit vulgar and crude though ive been suitably informed that the army is really like that! and when entering the theatre i was asked if i wa 16 yet!!! (because the play is nc 16). hmmmm im sure i look at least 17 or 18. anyhow i prefered the second act maybe cos they sang and there was this cute guy who sang really well! (: i think my heart melted. hahahahah but he cried a lot a lot so it was a bit uhhh strange. though his ability to cry so quickly is extremely commendable. but overall i thought it was really funny.
board games at bendy's place! i love playing board games because uhhh it's mind stimulating, good for interaction and talking and not anti-social event like going to the movies. moreover it doesn't require any money spending other than the initial investment in buying the game itself so it's a win all round! (: this were the munchkin people. the rest of us were playing the bean game hahahah but i only have a picture of them playing the guitar soo.. no im not posting it up.
uhm these 2 people are strange but i love them all the same. and sometimes i think our lives are inextricably connected.
after that was carrie's welcome back plus weiying's farewell to summer school. KEEP SAFE IN SAN FRAN PLEASE DEAR. AND COME BACK REAL SOON.
at the restaurant we were laughing and making super a lot of noise that i think the other people and the waitresses were quite glad when we left. hahahahaha but it was good times good times! (:
i just had to post this because it is such a classic crystal pose.
wenzi's birthday dinner.
i like this photo cos wenzi's looking happy. ive no idea what man is doing though. and qq really moves at the speed of light.
i thought this was a funny sign(with a bit of barry's head). silken tofu. does tofu=tauhuay? we had a discussion at the table and apparently it's curdled differently whatever that is supposed to mean. yeah but i like both and i love tauhuay with barley(random info) so all's good. (:
BAKING! i think i really like baking because they turn out pretty. for savoury food... hmm not really.
so this time we tried to make chocolate hazelnut cheesecake. i think it's the toughest thing ive ever attempted to bake. (this cheesecake is different from strawberry sweethearts cos strawberry sweethearts only require cooling in the fridge while this require both cooling and baking in the oven)

so anyway since we had no food processor, we had to transform

or finer than this. hahahaha apparently pounding makes your hand ache.

so anyhow our final product is:
not bad right!! hahaha though after 2 bites we put the cheesecake back in the oven for another 20 mins. but it tasted good after that with the chocolate glaze over it that you see in the picture of the original and keeping it in the fridge it for one night.
the final product before the surprise meetup. i think the words are skilfully written considering i only had a fork. why hua would think a spoon would make it easier ive no idea.
anyway the 2 holes you see at the bottom end would be where we ate from to test it it was nice. hahaha and when we poured the choc glaze over, it sort of filled the holes. anyway we realised we couldn't take the cake out cos the choc glaze would just be everywhere so we took the whole tray to kallang. hahahahahah it was funny and embarrassing(sort of though not the worse thing ive carried around).
anyway this cake is super time consuming the crust along takes at least 4 hours to cool in the fridge then bake. so it takes like seriously one whole day to make it! i think strawberry sweethearts was more successful though IF i ever get a food processor i MIGHT try this cake again. hahahaha
next up: tobelerone cheesecake/panna cotta
i wanna try making pretty cupcakes one day though i wont eat them cos well i dont really like eating cream they taste squishy to me! i'll think about it.
and on this note it has summed up though not entirely but quickly and succintly, my summer hols thus far. im going to bintan on sunday though and will be back on thurs not that you are expecting an update then. hahahaha im never that efficient in keeping this site up to date but i will try within like the next century or so.

i will think about some serious writing about the ongoings on my life one day but for today, sth that has been stuck to me for a while.
why don't we hit restart,
and pause it at our favorite parts.
we'll skip the goodbyes.
if i had it my way,
i'd turn the car around and runaway,
just you and i.
oh and i know i just came back from bangkok (not that ive written about it yet!) hahahaha but im going to bintan soon-ish and im VERY EXCITE! (:
tok's going ny soon and im excited worried nervous and everything for her, yeah i do sound like her mom. im thinking about applying for exchange too.
and this concludes the quickest updates on my life. ever.
